How do you catch it?

Meningitis bacteria get spread around by coughing, sneezing, and snogging - not so much the peck on the cheek stuff! This is because they normally live in the back of the nose and throat, and cause no trouble most of time. They can’t survive outside the body for long. But sometimes, for some unknown reason, they spread from the back of the throat into the blood stream and then into your brain lining, the meninges. Then the trouble starts.

This sort of kissing!

How do you treat it?
